Meet Rebecca M. Becker

Originally from Woodbridge, Connecticut, with deep roots in Lordship, CT Rebecca has been on Nantucket year-round since 2004. She studied Journalism & Art History at The University of Castleton in Vermont – graduating summa cum laude with a BA in both degrees. Rebecca spent her senior year at Castleton University as Editor in Chief of the student newspaper, The Spartan, and helped spearhead a mission to remove people from the dump in Managua, Nicaragua – Project Chacocente – which still thrives with success today.

Rebecca has been a real estate agent on Nantucket with J Pepper Frazier Company since 2010, was founder/owner of Petite Travelers Nantucket, a local baby & beach equipment rental company, had a children’s store on the island for several years, she was also a co-founder of Petticoat Row in 2009 – a group dedicated for Nantucket’s women in business, and is a mom to a fun-loving and spunky 7-year-old! While not working (although “working” on Nantucket – doesn’t always feel like “work”) she enjoys spending lots of time with her daughter, sailing, gardening & cooking, writing, traveling to see family in Florida, Connecticut and New York, interior design & all things “home,” philanthropy and most recently – developing Nantucket Moms for The Local Moms Network.
